You send a lot of emails each day…why not let them help you get more quotes?
Here’s the deal. As we’ve talked about before, getting 5 star reviews on Google leads to more inbound quote requests and phone calls.
People see that you’re ranked higher than other agencies and are conditioned to call you first (which is exactly what you want to happen.)
So every agent should be approaching this issue by making a plan to get more 5 star reviews! Where do you start?
Which Review Profiles Matter
First, you need to know where you want your reviews to show up. There are hundreds of review sites, but only a few that really matter for your business.
For insurance agencies, Google is my #1 recommended review site. This is simply because it is the most popular search engine and likely to have the biggest effect on your inbound phone calls and leads.
After Google, I would focus on Facebook because it also shows up high in search results and is easy to see on Facebook. Plus, lots of clients are already connecting with you here!
Beyond that, it’s really up to you if you want to focus on the less popular review sites like Yellow Pages, City Search, etc. Yelp is very popular, but applies more to restaurants than insurance agencies. (They also do not approve of people soliciting reviews from their clients, so I wouldn’t focus my time here.)
Email Signature
You and your team are sending hundreds of emails each month and having regular conversations with clients and prospects. Why not use this opportunity to ask for reviews?
In your email signature, simply ask if your prospect or client is satisfied with their service and if so, please go leave a review on your Google page and link to it.
Remember to have everyone in your office do this, so you’re getting the biggest benefit.
If you use our service Agency Feedback, we provide a custom email signature that looks like this:
It directs a client to a landing page first, so you can see if they are satisfied with your agency BEFORE they go and write a review. (Here’s our review landing page.) . This helps to weed out the unhappy customers so they can send you a a private message first.
Where Else Can You Ask For Reviews?
Another great time to ask for reviews is right after an endorsement or when a new policy is started. Your client is happy and ready to share their positive testimonial! Just send them a quick email like this…
Hi! Thanks so much for contacting us today. We want to make sure you’re completely satisfied with your service. Would you mind taking just a moment to leave us a review?
By creating a system with your team, you’ll consistently be asking for reviews and seeing new ones coming in. Which leads to a stronger and better online reputation, more new leads, and more sales!
