Today I want to share some insights and real numbers from running Facebook Lead Ads so far this year.  I think you’ll find it really helpful!  

So far, our scratch independent agency has generated 187 Facebook Leads directly since January 1st, spending an average of $1.91 per lead.  (Today is February 12th)

These are not leads entering a giveaway or responding to an incentive.  They KNOW they are requesting an auto insurance quote!

One of our clients generated 92 leads in 17 days.

Another client 46 leads in 8 days.

Another had 22 leads in only 5 days.

These roughly work out to an average of 4-5 leads per day.  

Considering almost everyone tells me that Facebook marketing doesn’t work, I just have to disagree!  

Beyond these reported numbers, we’ve had numerous people call into the agency asking for a quote after seeing an ad.  People have sent messages to our Facebook page asking for quotes.  And we even had someone walk-in to the office, simply because of Facebook marketing! 

One of our clients even had a prospect share his ad at work and he received numerous phone calls for quotes! (Not included in the numbers shown above.)

What makes Facebook NOT work?

I believe that the biggest issue is strategy and consistency. Many people throw a boosted post up on their agency Facebook page for $5, get some “likes”, and then determine that Facebook just isn’t right for insurance leads.

But the problem isn’t Facebook. It’s the agency’s strategy isn’t right. There are specific kinds of ads that deliver results and certain keys to working with each of them.

And even harder, you can’t just do it once! We were able to make Facebook an excellent lead source because we KEPT WORKING ON IT. It wasn’t one ad, it was many over time. And we created systems to make it more and more effective.

The point is?  Facebook marketing WORKS.  

But it’s not something you can “set and forget.”  It takes strategy, time dedication, and lots of testing.
